Nicole Barnes is the grandmother of one of Sexyy Red's children, and she accused the rapper of posting the address, as well as a photo, of her Hazelwood, Missouri home on Facebook. She also said that Red told her fans to commit violent acts against her.
In court documents it says that Red instructed her fans to “kick in the door” when they get to the house, and Barnes saw that post on December 3. Plus, Barnes said that her son and Red are currently feuding with each other, and Red is taking it out on her. Barnes, who's 51, is suing the 26-year-old for a whopping $5 million.
"Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client,” stated Barnes' attorney Steven Weaver. “We did try to informally resolve it, and her attorneys thought it was a joke.”
In all, Red is being accused of assault, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, as AllHipHop lays out.
Barnes also said that she and her family left their home, because they fear for their safety, and she's currently suffering from trauma, which is now being treated by a professional. The grandmother claims she's having a difficult time finding adequate housing as well and is now struggling financially.
The "U My Everything" creator hasn't responded to the suit yet. In fact, one of the last times we heard from Red is when she had an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood and said she's the most hated female rapper in hip-hop.
