Aloe Blacc's 'Lift Your Spirit' LP now streaming

If you need some uplifting music to help your through this dreary Saturday — seriously, will there ever be sunshine again? I’m growing preeetty darn tired of this wintery weather. Thanks, non-anthropogenic climate “change” — then Aloe Blacc has just the pick-me-up you need. A preview of his album Lift Your Spirit, his first full-length release since the exceptional Good Things came our in 2010, is available to stream on Sound Cloud (and below!).

Despite the chart-topping success of “I Need a Dollar” off Good Things, Blacc truly established himself as a household name by co-writing and providing the vocals for Swedish DJ Avicii’s 2013 single “Wake Me Up.” (An acoustic version of the smash hit is on Lift Your Spirit, and, dare I say, it’s better than the original.) With Lift Your Spirit, Blacc appears to be striking while the iron is hot, showcasing his vast array of talents for an audience perhaps previously unaware of his music beyond the mainstream singles.

Lift Your Spirit has been available for purchase at all the usual locations since March 11, so what’s your excuse for not owning a copy?
