Hip Hop: Jay Critch makes his return with new single “Back End”

One of the hardest young MC’s out of New York, Jay Critch is a serious contender for who the streets are really watching on the east coast…

Since his 2016 release of “Did It Again,” Jay Critch’s placement on the rap radar has made ripples throughout every “hot” playlist created through every platform. He is the self-proclaimed Hood Fave, and the name is really showing it’s meaning as of late.

2018 was a very good year for Jay Critch. He came out with the tape Hood Favorite to dominate all competition on the east side of the map. Not only did that mixtape take the industry by storm, but Critched also managed to drop single after single for his fans to enjoy and appreciate.

After that year, Critch started to put out smaller portions of content at a time. While he did make a collaboration tape with Famous Dex and Rich the Kid named Rich Forever 4, there was not an overwhelming amount of product to come from Jay Critch to accompany the tape in that year.

While he is known to be one of the best lyricists of the new school, coming out of NY, Critch also has the ability to make catchy songs that somewhat overshadow the rest of his catalog to people who don’t completely follow his career.

His most memorable single, “Ego” dropped on August 29 of 2018. That song lasted on computerized playlists and radio stations all over the country for months. It may have been the exact type of big hit that Critch needed to keep his career going.

The year 2020 should be a big one for Critch, hopefully, Rich Forever Music will be the imprint to bring us an album from him. If there is one thing that his fans are waiting for, after the release of his latest song “Back End”, it’s an album.

“Back End” just dropped on May 23, and the details of Critch’s come up couldn’t be more clear. Make sure to go on all platforms and listen to it!
